Is there a way to run certain commands using a visual basic macro in MS
Excel? I'm able to create AutoCAD scripts, but I'm wondering if I can also
run the script in AutoCAD while I'm in excel. Thanks

Not sure about the scripts, but you CAN control AutoCAD from Excel.

My company developed its own detailing software to be used with AutoCAD
using Microsoft Visual Basic and some AutoLISP. Since we have upgraded to
AutoCAD 2000i, we get Visual Basic error messages when opening any drawing
created with the software. The error message is "Item not found in this
collection" or "Problem loading application". After the error messages are
passed, everything seems to be fine. Any ideas?

Hello Tim.
If your custom software was developed for R14 and moved to 2000i as is, this
could be causing some grief. There have been some minor (and major) changes
to AutoCAD's Object Model, so the program might require some tweaking for
the new Object Model & syntax.

Hope that helps
