Unhandled Access Violation

I know there are many, many explinations as to why we get the above errors, but I cant seem to find any support for the code that mine is producing.

Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0x4710010 Exception at 3323a56ah

This error usually pops up during a zoom, or on multiple commands, and kicks me out of the drawing. I have applied all the latest service packs, and closed all programs running in the background and tried it, but with still the same results.

I have also moved the blocks into a fresh drawing, but eventually the error still pops up.

If anyone has a solution to this, it would be excellent!

Thanks

Brendan

A new video card driver, new operating system or new computer will fix
it.

Help, any clues?

Unhandled Access Violation
0x0024
75424b70h

when opening a file. Recovery allows file to open with no reported errors
but after save as... file comes back to same error.

thanks

Have you tried the recovery routine...write blocking after 3 purges...if no joy then pasting
into empty drawing file?

Tried recovery, save as... but to no avail. The next time I opened the dwg,
it gave me the same error then killed ACAD. The pasting did the trick
though. Thanks.

I had to recently reload AutoCAD 2000i, and now when I go to use the File
Open dialog "Look In" drop down AutoCAD generates an "Unhandled Access
Violation Reading 0x000 Exception at 63723324h" error message. I am
assuming that there is a conflict with some other software that has been
installed since I had first loaded AutoCAD, as it used to run fine.

Has anyone else experienced this error?

PS the code is almost meaningless (memory address where it bugged out) but
Unhandled Access Violation sounds like a win95 win98 problem due to being
overtaxed or conflicting with another program that is running in the
background.

It's running Windows NT with sp6a, I've closed most background apps, only running are Virus Checker, and the netware client.

The computer is fairly new, and has only been recently installed.

Is there any quick fix rather than a re-image of the workstation?

Thanks.

Look at recently installed programs & associated drivers that may be
causing the conflicts?

It's also possible that the machine is overheating if you don't have
enough fans?

I'm not familiar with NT but I never get UAV errors in win2k & I used to
get them all the time on win98 when I worked the system too hard.

-sorry nothing more specific.
