Runtime Error Map5 in Wiondows 7

Every few days I get a runtime error in my Autocad Map5. I recently got a new computer running windows 7 Prior to this I was using XP and had no issues. The error causes a crash and cannot continue using Autocad. I have to uninstall and reinstall to run again. Works fine for a few days and then starts all over again. Is there a patch or update to fix this

Just so you know, MAP5 is not designed to work with or supported in Windows 7: so no one is working on a fix, or have a permanenet fix.

See this expalnation of runtime errors from Microsoft:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/What-is-a-runtime-error

What does Win7 report as having changed when this break happens?

Have you tried installing MAP5 in Widnows Compatibility Mode in Win7?
