Ready to Burst

AutoCAD R14 had a command (Previously in bonus tools) called `BURST' which
allowed you to explode attributes containing text into regular text but
keeping the value of the attribute as the text.

Where has this gone?? Is A2K2 an upgrade or a downgrade??

Does anyone have a routine which will achieve this result??

Thanks in advance....C.D.

Expresstools (bonustools in R14) are not avalible for AutoCAD 2002. At least
not what I know of.

Here is a link to a guide on how to install AutoCAD Express tools for 2000
on 2000i and 2002.

IF you are not part of the subscription program for AutoCAD 2002, you will
need to purchase Express Tools from the online store at
http://www.autodesk.com

If you are a member of the subscription service, log-on to
http://pointa.autodesk.com and sign up with your subscription details, and
download them free. If you do not know what your subscription details are,
contact your Autodesk dealer.

Hi,

You can still use your bonus tools and express tools in 2000 and 2002. All
you need to do is menuload and browse to find the bonus and/or express menu.
After you type in "menuload" and find the menus, just insert the bonus
and/or express menu wherever you want to put it. I am using both bonus and
express tools in 2002 and haven't had any problems.

I believe it is an Express Tool, so if you did not take advantage of
the free download when it was available you will have to see if you
can use your R14 version. As long as it is a LSP file you should be
able to use it in 2000.

Copy entire Bonus directory to \Program Files\Autodesk Architectural Desktop
3 directory. In Tools Options set support file search path to
Bonus\cadtools.
In Tools Load Applications add ac_bonus.lsp in bonus\cadtools to the startup
suite.
Type menuload, select ac_bonus.mnc in bonus\cadtools directory, click on
Load and OK. DO NOT CHECK "REPLACE ALL" OPTION, or you will hurt yourself.
Majority of the tools will work, including your Burst. Others will not, like
Pack'n'go. I think that all lisp routines will work and none of arx files.
Under next revision Autodesk may castrate even this remnant of the Bonus
tools.

Where has this gone?? Is A2K2 an upgrade or a downgrade??

Does anyone have a routine which will achieve this result??

Thanks in advance....C.D.
