PUZZLE: Goofy Endpoints..Will you please help solve?

(dwg posted in Cust. Files under PUZZLE:...)

Something is wrong with this dwg and has been happening to me in several
dwgs lately. Some endpoints are snapping to totally arbitrary endpoints
elsewhere. No 3d, no misaligned UCSs, no thicknesses, no elevations.
Please help me solve this misery! I mean mystery!!

THE CHALLANGE:
See where the endpoint jumps to for you and try to figure out why. Read the
notes in Blue.

(Now watch you guys come back and say 'Works for me!' I'll get upset.)

I know you don't want to hear this, but it works for me too... What happens if you reduce your units? I find that drawings can be goofy sometimes if my unit precision is set too high.

It keeps snapping to another endpoint on the pumphead every time! This has
been happening more and more lately. I even tried it on the attachment just
before I sent it to make sure it would be as I said and it was! This is
driving me crazy. Now I'm gonna look like a fool for putting out a
perfectly good dwg.

Thanks for your response, Rick

Are you using to many o snaps? type "os" then enter. If you have o snaps like "perpendicular", "tangent" and "nearest" clicked on you will almost never get the point you want. This would explain why other people don't have your problem 😕 Hope this helps.

I use Endpoint, Midpoint, Center, Node, and insertion as my default.
