Object DBX classes: Missing application- Acad 2000

I am working is Acad 2000.

I opened a dwg that was saved in r2000.
I received the missing application- object DBX classes.

Is there any way to find and load this application?
I have searched all over the web, and have not been able to get anything to work.

I am not able to copy, paste, move, or modify some parts of the proxy graphics that have been created.

I am guessing this diagram was created in some version of Acad electrical.

I wouldl ike to be able to modify this dwg.
Does anyone have any insights as to how to do this?

Ask the file creator to "export to autocad" and destroy those non-compatible
items for R2000.

The file was saved as R2000, probably not exported.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to the creator. Nor am I certain what the file was created on.

I am some what confident it was created using Acad Electrical, but I am not sure what revision.
It is a wire harness drawing that has numerous, non-editable tables. The tables can not be moved, copied, pasted, rotated, made into block ect....
If they are exploded, the text goes to a different font, making the data unusable.

I also tried to convert to R2000 using TrueView 2010. This had no effect, probably because I do not have the original file. It is already in R2000 format.

1. is there any way to decifer what the original software is? If I can do that, I may be able to work with it.
2. Is there a way to install the correct object enabler for the missing application 'object DBX classes' it is looking for and substituting proxy graphics?

Is was also looking for AcDbDimAssoc, but I was able to install the object enabler from the utilities & downloads area and this error went away.

I am looking for a way to work with the existing data, rather recreating all.

The free viewer from Autodesk has an export feature, different from the save
down default, try that.

You could try posting the file in the AutoCAD Electrical discussion area for
someone to open it and export it for you.

I found out some more information.
Turns out this drawing was created in R2005. What I am not able to modify are the tables that were created.

I am not certain the 'objectdbx classes' error I am getting when opening is related.
I am guessing R2005 uses a new version of the .dbx

Is there any way to make this info usable in R2000?
Or is the only way to recreate tables in R2000?

Thank you for your help Dean!

Ahh, no tables in R2000 may be it. Post the DWG file here, maybe I can help
(if you don't mind a version higher than R2005).
