Middle mouse button

I just set up LDD 2000i on a new machine and I would really like my
middle mouse button to work as it did in 2000. My old computer had a MS
mouse wheel and it would zoom when the wheel was spun and pan (real
time) when pushed. The new PC has a Logitech mouse wheel and I got it to
zoom when spun but the panning is not working correctly. I seem to get
the same type of pan that one would see in a Microsoft Office program.
By this I mean that you push the wheel and your cursor changes to a big
cross and you move the mouse to the edge of the screen to get the
panning action. Is there a way to change this to the AutoCAD real-time
pan? I am not sure if this is a Windows 2000 issue or an AutoCAD issue.
I have gone through the Windows 2000 mouse properties and changed just
about everything. I have also toggled the mbuttonpan variable but have
not had any success. I believe that I would now have to modify the mnu
file but I am unsure as to what needs to change in that file.

Painfully navigating through my drawings,

Please disregard this message. I got the mouse wheel to work by tinkering
with the Windows mouse properties.
Thanks anyway.
