Layer Control Toolbar

I used to be able to change an object's layer, color, linetype, etc. by selecting the object and then selecting the new attribute from the drop-down boxes in the layer control toolbar. This has suddenly stopped working and now i have to make the changes through the propeties command. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

This gets answered at least once every few days... next time try
searching through these groups or the Knowledge Base please...

Set PICKFIRST to 1

Then have a look at the DDESELECT and use the Help for this dialog box
to become familiar with the settings.
