Launching Autocad

I just created a profile on one of our computers. From the Profiles tab of
the Options dialogue box I used "Export" to create the ARG file. I then
created a shortcut by dragging the new ARG file from WindowsNT Explorer to
my desktop. When I launched the shortcut I get the following error:

"Cannot find specified drawing file. Please verify that the file exists."

I might have done something wrong for AutoCAD to give me the error prompt.
Any help?

Hi,

check that in your shortcut the commandline looks like this:

"C:\Program files\AutoCAD 2002\acad.exe" /P "C:\Documents and
settings\myname\Desktop\profile.arg"

Note the /P and that if the directorynames have spaces, you need the
apostrofies (")!

This is correct.
An other way is to import the ARG file in the options menu. This is at the same TAB as the export function.
