Easy to use AutoCAD Arc?

Is there an easy way to have AutoCAD create an arc that is tangent to one point, but can then be pulled-out manually to achieve the desired size or direction and have the arc remain tangent? The only method I know is to use fillet, but this entails alot of trial and error if you are doing layout, and not working off of know dimensions.

I don't like saying it very much, but Microstation can do this, it would be nice for AutoCAD to have more intuitive arc functions.

Thanks!

If you redraw the existing line, then call ARC and hit return twice, it will
do what you want.
