Convert AutoCAD MultiLine Text to lines and arcs

I have several thousand lines of text that has been edited
and changed by a customer and needs me to cut out these letters. In order to do this my flow path program needs dxf lines and arcs. So...How can I convert this to lines and arcs. any help would be great.

Not sure what format you need to convert to, but you can try to "save as DXF". I often have better luck exporting as a "WMF". Then in Illustrator I can save this into a format my vendors can use. There might be some programs on the web that convert from dwg to a vector format you can use. Good luck!

I often do save as dxf and it works fine, however, it can't be an elipse or text. I've tried the dxb plot method that doesn't work, it gives me a bunch of straight lines. Basically what I need is something to automatically convert the text to smooth curves. I have found some ways to do this but there is thousand some lines of text and there isn't enought time in the year to do it. it would have to be automatic. Thank you for any input

If you have the Express Tools TXTEXP...

I have also set up an HPGL Plotter (see below), Plotted to a PLT file
and then used the Express Tool PLT2DWG

Create HP-GL version 1 plot files

Thanks for the tip, I got it to work...kinda. For this
perticular job it won't suffice due to the artist. But it is
very helpful for future reference.

Try looking into SHX2DXF - will produce arcs if
they are in the SHX font.
