Acad 2002 pause after save

Every sense I converted a couple machines to Acad 2002 we’ve noticed a 5-7 second pause after saves and opens. The save command completes and the cross hairs reappear but the cursor is still or immediately changes to the windows arrow.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this the rest of the machines in the office are still running Acad 2ki or 2k on Win2k or Win98 and do not experience this problem. I’ve removed antivirus software with no change.

These machines are running Win2k and otherwise completely stable.

Normally slowdowns in AutoCAD files being open is due to the
fact that AutoCAD is searching your system for components to load
(printer/plotters etc.). Check all your paths, and make sure all your files and
PC3 files are pointing to valid addresses and connections on your
network.
