How far back (in relaeases) can Autocad 2000i read? Should we save all
older Autocad files (pre-R12) as Autocad 2000i files?

I found that we couldn't open 10 or older drawings with 2000, we saved them
as R14 prior to transfering to CD ROMS for long term storage.
