Gap closing between objects in movement

Dear,

First things first, im a total 3ds max newby. but im a eager learner so feel free to reply in detail.

But I'm looking for a neat/easy way of closing the annoying gaps that appear when you'r model is doing an animation.

I have a model build up from ,say 20 objects. When static it looks perfect, but here come the part where im new to. If i animte the model (a normal walk animation) the objects (linked together) all move along nicely, but they don't longer close all the gaps between eachother.

Now i found the 'Weld' option, but i need objects to be moved appart from eachother, so it doenst seem like a good option to use.

Could anyone give me some points or even a link to a 'this-is-how-you-do-it' page?

Thank you in advance,

Kwarnars
