3ds Max Rigging one child to two parents

I've been building a robot for a while now and I'm stuck with one of the shoulder mechanisms. I'm trying to link one sphere to one shoulder blade, and the second one to the outer shoulder blade. So I could move the outer shoulderblade, and the 4 balls touching that side would move along with it, but would just rotate and not be transformed or the mesh changed any way. When I move the inner bigger shoulder blade, the whole thing would move as a whole. I attached two pictures to hopefully help with this problem. THANKS!

You may have figured this out but the way I would do it is for each piston, use a look at constraint and create a point helper for the the target to look at. Link the piston to the shoulder and the piston's look at target to the main body. This way, when you rotate the shoulder, the piston will automatically rotate to look at the target.

It works well as far as I've seen... and there's also this video for a sliding piston: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKG5aX0KYl8

I believe that I cover it in this video.
