import parasolid

Is there a way to import parasolid format (*.x_t) to Alias Studio 2009?

I know its possible via DirectConnect when there are other software packages installed (which can handle parasolid files). But is there a "simple plugin" without having to buy these huge packages?

Since i do not know nothing about the *.x_t format i'd also appreciate some info about it. I know will have sit down and try to find and learn about it for myself. But maybe some of you find the time to write a few lines...

greetings
Tobias

One fairly simple way to import geometry from Parasolids would
be to use Autodesk Inventor 2009 to import the Parasolid and export it as
an IGES file. Other applications such as TransMagic will also do the job.
Alternatively, have your source vendor export the file as an IGES file in their
native software.
