Move from point to point

Is there a way to specify from and to points for defining an object move? For example if one wanted to transform an entire curve so that its second CV was positioned at a grid point.

I know this can be done by first defining the pivot at the point you want to control but I'd like to avoid this requirement.

Thanks,

James

If I understand well your consern:

There is a "Transform Curve" (Palette>Curve Edit>Modify>Transform curve)

This tool can help you to move the complete curve without thinking about the pivot point, and you can switch after move to the second region of the curve (same as Stretch curve tool with the pick arrow) to rotate and/or rotate scale the complete curve moved (without thinking about CV layout).

This is a very useful tools = Transform and Stretch curve.

For the object like primitives and groups of geometric entities (surfaces and/or curves for exemple).

There is a "Place" tool (Palette>Transform>Objet Placement>Place)

This tool can help you to move one group from one construction plane to another construction plane.
