Thanks a lot, this was it.

Though, to be more specific, the "CTRL" is not nessesary as i found out. A click on the Control Panel to move it in place and then add the hold-click on "SHIFT" to dock it does the job.

Regards

Hello @digiformer.
I can't dock any menu in my workspace. I am trying to SHIFT+drag and so on.
Is there a configuration to active this behavior?

EDIT:

I figure out that if I want to dock a menu I have to hold SHIFT and drag the menu not to the border, but some space before it.

I was able to get this to work with the right side control panels and diagnostic shaders, but I have not been able to re-dock the shelves along the bottom.

Anyone got some pointers on how to do that?

You have to set this somewhere in the User Interface Options or Palette Shelves Layout Options. There You can specify where you want to place the Tool palette and your personal shelves (top / bottom / ...)

To re-arrange a messed up interface you will have to choose the "tool" pallette shelves layout or the "go" button in the psl-option window...

Kind regards

You can dock the shelf in the same way... Holding the shift while dragging it to the bottom.  The window will not dock if the height is more then 1 quarter of the screen height.

open shelf by Windows->Shelves if the Shelf is not visible.

Press and drag the shelf title bar with SHIFT key pressed, to the bottom of the Alias main window.

It should dock properly..

works with Alias 2017 and Alias 2018..

Yes, digiformer was correct. I had to go to the options and click the button to switch shelves from floating to bottom.

This in itself did not dock the window properly along the bottom, weirdly enough, but it finally enabled the control shift snapping to work!
