Alias Design 2012 slow after hardware change

I upgraded my hardware (motherboard and CPU) and switched from windows 7 64bit to windows 8 64bit. Alias Design 2012 ran fine before, now after reinstalling it freezes after every operation (except rotating/zoom/move view) for about 20 seconds. Any idea what could cause this problem?

CPU before was an Intel E5400. Graphic drivers are up to date. Nvidia card didn't change.

Running Alias Design 20012 in Windows 7 compatibility mode doesn't help.

Did you go to autodesk site and see the specs for Alias 2012?

Do you see anywehere it is to be run on win 8?

Do you think running something in win 8 with win 7 compatibility mode, will solve the problem?

GTX660 is a gaming card. Not sure how it would work in Win8
