If you are using AutoCAD 14 or 13, take a look at asi_db3.hlp in the
"help" subdirectory of your main AutoCAD directory. You may also want to
look at DBL202.ZIP from http://www.cadalog.com. DBL is oriented mostly
towards Access, but the LISP library should work with DB3 files (and make
your programming much easier) and the documentation may be of some help
in establishing the connection.
If you are using AutoCAD 2000, read "AutoCAD Database Connectivity",
Scott McFarlane, ISBN 0-7668-1640-0 (gee, I'm going to have that sucker
memorized soon). Also, if you are using AutoCAD 2000, definitely
download ADOLISP.ZIP from http://www.cadalog.com. I think I put a sample
DB3 connection string in there ... but, if not, you should be able to set
up an ODBC connection (pick Start|Settings|Control Panel|ODBC and follow
