If there's a better group for this topic, let me know.
Is there a good way to bring an excel or similar spreadsheet into cad as a
table with individual text fields?
none of the "paste special" from excel choices are working very well at all.
Thanks...

Using OLE (which I believe is the result of using "paste special") for
spreadsheets has limitations. You are limited in the number of rows that you
can link and there are issues with fonts size displays. Your options are to
spread your data over several spreadsheets and link them, or convert your
spreadsheets to mtext. Perhaps others will have better options to recommend
as well.

My company has a solution to import MS Excel & MS Word documents into
autocad, and retains a link. We specialize in custom developed 'Design
Automation' solutions, but offer these as well as other generic products.
Good Luck!
