Just installed Acad 2011 64 bit, trial version.
and having database connection problems, wondering if anyone has any input
on compatibility of ADOLisp with acad 2011

Running version R2.52

Thanks ( And Thank you John Fleming for a wonderful product!)

Firstly, I do not use ADOLisp.

It is likely that your computer does not have 64-bit data access driver
(ODBC/OLEDB?). Do you use Access database? If yes, it is almost certain that
is bacuase of no 64-bit driver, which you should have do your work before
mvoing to 64-bit Acad.

I have hear MS will supply 64-bit jet driver in near future, you may look
into moving your data to other type of data system, such as SQL Server.

So, that is definitely not a ADOLisp issue. You simply cannot use 32-bit Jet engine to access data from *.mdb file from 64-bit Acad. Period. You either wait until one day there is 64-bit Jet engine available, or switch to other type of data source/data access technology that works with 64-bit Acad.

I think the Microsoft Access database 2007 or 2010 redistributable is
supposed to fix this, but not sure how yet.....
