Problem with Bend modifier

I am new to 3D Studio Max and having problem with the bend modifeier. I tried to bend an object but only an orange outline of it is shown but not the actual object. What should I do?...

Has to do with the segments of the object?
With the result on/off toggle?
Or something about the values on the bend modifier, the bend Axis?
Please be more specific so we can provide help.

I have attached a screenshot to make it easier to understand my problem...

I used the "Bend Modifier" on a polygon but an orange outline is bended instead...

Right click on Bend and check On so the modifier terns on.

Or you can click over the bulb near the modifier on the left.

And as was stated earlier, make sure there are plenty of segments along the length of the box. If not, there is no place for the box to bend, or it will bend with harsh angles.
