Trimming Point Clouds?

I'm using 3ds Max Design 2015.  I created a pointcloud object and connecting to a ReCap RCP file.  I'd like to simply trim off the access points that are not needed for the scene (and I'm pretty frustrated that the edits I thought I was making in ReCap mean absolutely nothing). 

I have messed with the "limit box" but just find its use to be the only thing limiting about it.  I need more control than the arbitrary 6 sides it gives me.

Is there a way to select points and delete them?

O, you can't do it in 3ds max. You can edit it in recap.

In 3ds max, you can use display volumes to hide some part of point cloud. But you can't delete points.
