"Pink noise" when rendering using Vray!

I don't know what is happening, everything is ok except the floor has this "pink noise" parts, I only have one vray light outside the window and several (less powerful lights) above the board.

Random image - works?

Does indeed work. Try again (edit your first post above). I know there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes - maybe you tried at just the wrong time.

The problem is the files themselves. I just viewed them on Imageshack, saved them locally and cannot open them - "not a valid .png file". Not had that problem with Imageshack before.

I see the issue, but as I don't use (or even have) vray I can't help. Sorry.

I think you have multiple issues happening:

First, if you are talking the pink bleed on the white surfaces... that is because your GI reflection is off the redwood surface will bounce off creating pinkish to the whole screen. If you want to prevent this... go in Render Setup > Indirect Illumination Tab > Indirect Illumination Menu > Post-Processing Box > Change Saturation from 1.0 (Default) to 0.0 (or even 0.2 to 0.5 if you like to have a little color bounce). This removes all color in GI light bouncing and in architectural renderings, normally is not wanted.

Second, your floor is doing something I don't know how to call it... Radiating texture missing? You may have multiple objects on the same level on the floor. I have heard it called "Co-Planer Faces". If your floor is at 0', make sure you don't have another object (like a large environment plane) at 0' too. For my exterior scenes, I normally give 0' to top of curb or floor level, -6" to roads and -2' to aerial maps. Your scene may have you floor at 0' and a larger environmental plane at 0'... just move it down to -6".

Hopefully those help/fix the problems... I would also personal look into your Gamma/LUT Setup and Color Mapping to help with the darkness/contrast of the overall scene.

Best,
Topher

I was getting a pink noise glitch in my renderings.Robot Frustrated

I had imported objects from revit and rendered with vray.

Come to find out that some objects were corrupt.

I deleted the corrupt objects and it rendered fine.Robot Very Happy

Most likely an issue with Autodesk materials. Try running Vray scene converter (right click > V-Ray scene converter).

If that doesn't work, use this free script:

Good luck.

Hi,

Try the following

1) Optimize Scene Size (If you are not confident enough then move to step 2)

2) Save the file and close the file.

3) Open a new blank scene

4) Import your problem file into this new blank scene file.

5) Try rendering again.

Best of luck.
