Populate animation with path

Hi,

I don't kown how to change the default setting in 3ds max 2014, i.e (woman to man).

I required the following :

1. I need to change the dress code what they are wearing.

2. I need to change the position of the person.

3. I need to change the action of the person.

As far as I know...

1. I need to change the dress code what they are wearing. (You would need to swap the default texture maps)

2. I need to change the position of the person. (If you create a singleperson in a small idle area you can move the idle area around using standard xy coordinates/rotation until your character is in the correct place.)

3. I need to change the action of the person. (This is a whole new ball game...in effect you would need to grate a new characteer animation using the base mesh from Populate. This will involve, as far as I know, rigging the character and then animating the movements in the way you want.)

The following link may help..

Maybe not quite what you want to hear, but it opens avenues for exploration of techniques and greater understanding of the capabilities of Max.

The other alternative is to hire someone to create the character and animation.

In Max 2015 you have more control when regenerating Populate characters

PopulateCustomize.PNG

Unfortunately there's no equivalent in 2014.
