Parts imported from Inventor to 3ds Max all go to the same origin?

I'm importing an assembly from Inventor 2014 to 3ds Max Design 2014, but all the origins of the individual parts are being placed at the origin in the scene. For example, if I imported a fully constrained assembly of a car, in 3ds Max it would look like a pile of wheels, tires, bumpers, fenders, doors, etc sitting at 0,0,0. I've been using 3ds Max off & on for about 5 years & this has never happened to me. I updated to 2015 thinking maybe it was a bug, but 2015 has the same issue. Any ideas?
