Max 2015 Viewport spline/poly-edge display layering

In Max 2014 and the prior versions I can remember, when a spline and a polygon edge were in the same position (such as when using "Create Shape from Selection") the spline would be displayed. This seems to have changed in 2015, so now the poly edge is shown and you can't tell a spline is there. I do a lot of outlining of poly shapes in my work and this makes it annyoing to see which poly's have been outlined and which haven't.

Is there a way to change the display order/level of poly vs. spline objecs (i.e. give splines display priority)? Or some other way to revert the behavior?

Thanks.

Anyone else have this issue with 2015? Is this a bug or a "feature" of the new max version?

Steps to recreate: Create an editable poly object, select some edges, click "Create Shape From Selection" using linear. Be unable to see the spline you just created until you hide the poly object.

Thanks, folks.
