Max 2015 Layer Manager PF flow

Hi,

I appear to be having a problem with Nested layers and Particle Flow.

If I try and select my PF Source oblect in the Layer manager Max locks up.

If I select  PF Source object directly in the screen it is fine.

I am also using Frost but have the viewport update off.

Frost also locks up if I select it in the layer manager.

Any ideas?

HI Damon,

I have done a quick test and created a PFsource and assigned the PFsource into a Layer of a Layer.

But I have no issues when selecting the PFsource either from the Layermanager or the Viewport.

See also my screenshot enclosed. Have I done something different than you?

Basically the issue is not known. Potentially this is a scenspecific issue? or an issue from any plugin?

Hi,

I think I have isolated the issue. Select Children was ticked. 

Even thought the particles are not displayed it apears to lock up max and make it hard to work.
