Creating objects from a perspective photograph

I'm considering buying 3Ds Max only if I can create 3D objects from imported perspective photographs (factory equipment).   Is this possible and if so, do features with the software help me complete it?

Not knowing enough to even be dangerous...

I think there is no software that can create a 3d model from a single perspective image.

You could use Autodesk Recap to create your 3d model with images with multiple plans.

And after, bring this model to 3ds Max for cleanup and animation and render.
