Hi guys,
I'm trying to use Civil View for Max Design 2011.
I couldn't find the plugin in the original CD for Max 2011... I found one here:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15131158&linkID=9241178
Problem is when I install it, I can't see the Civil View menu that usually appears. It says that the plugin is installed for Max 2011 but I can't find any interface for civil view in max.
Am I using the right plugin? Is it even available for max 2011? I tried installing the one for 2014 and it works perfectly. But the one for 2014 is included in the 2014 CD.
Some help will be very much appreciated! 🙂

this was a subscription benefit at the time
so if your not subscription you can't access it for 2011

Darren I have to supscription pack but I didn't see Civil View in there.
I installed it and I still don't have the Civil View menu and can't import civil files. Any ideas?
I'm using 2011 deisgn.. is it by any chance only for max 2011?
this is what it is called on the subscription website:
Autodesk Civil Visualization Extension
*The Civil Visualization Extension will only run when a valid copy of
Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2010 or 2011, or a trial version of 3ds Max Design 2011
is present on the same machine. It will not install with Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2010
or 2011. Crossgrades from 3ds Max to 3ds Max Design are available through your
reseller.

Turns out that it was part of the subscription pack but not in the main installation of the subscription.
It was a separate plugin called "Autodesk_Dynamite_VSP_Plug-in_for_3ds_Max_Design_2010-2011_English"
Thanks Darren
