Chroma Key

How do I change the background from gray to blue (or green)? I keep trying, but I keep altering the mesh color, too. I am using the 3 year free student license if that means anything.

Hi,

Customize - Customize User Interface - Colors tab

Elements=Viewports, Viewport Background OR Viewport Gradient Background Bottom and Top, change de Color and click Apply Colors Now. And you can save your config.

I'm guessing here, but you want to render against a green/ blue background so you can use chroma keying in whatever you are using for compositing. ?

It might be better to investigate rendering with an alpha transparent back ground.  If you render out a sequence of tiffs or pngs with an alpha transparent background then they will composite very well.

Check out the section on rendering for further details.

Hope this helps
