Cannot click on the

I opened up 3ds Max Design 2013, load a .max file, it loads, but then I can't click on the "M" menu to access things like Save As, Import, Export, etc. I can click on all other menu items. And when I switch to another application, the "M" button remains visible and on top of other applications.

Did you look in the Task Manager to see if a session of Max is hung up closing?

Aside from the M button not responding, everything else is working fine. I can work and stuff.

Ok, I think I've isolated the issue. The problem occurs whenever I choose to open the file via the welcome startup screen, the one that gives you the open to view the essential skills. If I close the startup screen without opening a file, I can click on the M menu, open the file, and everything is fine.

Could someone else try and see if they can reproduce this problem?

- Make sure that the welcome screen loads on startup (Help > Essential Skills Movies... > tick the box to show Welcome screen on startup)

- Close and reopen 3ds Max (I have 3ds Max Design 2013)

- Open a recent file from the Welcome screen

- See if you can click on the M menu

The file I'm working on is really big, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
