Can't render scene

Hello everyone

I'm trying to render a scene with particles and Vray(3.003). But everytime I press the render button max crashes. I tried deleting the particle system but when i do so max crashes again. Next I tried deleting everything in the scene and max still crashes :(. I've attached the scene so you guys can see it for yourself i would be so gratefull if someone could help me on this!

thanks in advance, Andres

You could export your scene as OBJ (selected objects), create a blank new scene and import your export in this new scene.

You can try to export as .max file instead of .obj, you will keep all of your scene objects, for example, your particles system, but you have chance that it won't work.

I think your animation is pretty fast 🙂

Try merging your current scene into a new one, and then rendering.

If that fails, go by process of elimination.

Figure out one by one which scene object is causing the crash.

Try rendering without materials.

Try a test render with a different renderer; mental Ray or scanline. Is it possible that a render setting is off?

Try caching the particle system before rendering.

When I'm back at my workstation and have time I'll take a look at the scene file.

Thanks for the fast reply!
And I already tried exactly what you said and it worked like a charm

Btw the animation is speed up for fumefx purposes it would take too long to
simulate an entire sequence of fire, smoke, dust and debris. I'm going to
timeremap it in after effects!

Kind regards
