Image I\O Memory Error

Hi everyone,

I got memory error once trying to use a large size image (6000*6000) as diffuse bitmap in material editor.

The same image doesn't cause any error in 3ds Max 9.

And if I open the bitmap pager satistics dialog, the memory limit is 70MB only. But it is 4GB in 3ds Max 9. Is it the hint of solving that?

does anyone know how to solve it?

"Bitmap Pager" is supposed to be built in to 2010, but it doesn't seem to do the same jobs max 9 did. You'd be better off making the image smaller. Are you making a rendering at 6000x6000? Why you need such a bitmap? You can try turning off the image filtering in the material, but I think the result will be worse.

i also got the same error when i try to apply a 3968x2976 pixels jpg image
my picture is not really large it is only 5,79 MB 24 bit rate at 314 DPI

i don't want to decrease the file resolution
so, does any of you know about this problem?
