path constraint on spline?

Hello everyone
ive been animating a little firefly, nothing special, but i want it to wander around in circle on the same place (follow a path, closed spline). unfortunately i have no idea what i have to link to the spline, it keeps giving me errors (list controller error, path constraint not completed).
i tried with a dummy but still no success
has anyone here done it before?

thanks!
Raffaele

To apply a path constraint, just create a point helper (or dummy), assign a path controller to it, and then set the path to be the spline.

Then, set the helper to be the path node for the CAT character, and watch 'em buzz off!
If it aint broke, hit it with a hammer and then we'll see...

that didnt help me.  I got the same error message, when I tried your solution.

I have a biped eagle that I bought on line.  It came with included animations.  I put a combination of animations on the motion mixer and mixed it down.  Then I tried to attach a path constraint and it gave the above error.

This is a CAT forum (and thread) - nothing to do with Biped. You should post your question in the Animating/Rigging forum.
