Swift loop not working from up-close

Hi,

I have this problem quite often, when the model is getting busier I can't place swift loops from up-close and from certain angles. I made a video of it for better representation. (Sorry for the quality, I didn't have any recording software)

As you can see it tries to put it in the air on the right side...

I Google'd for ages but couldn't find anything. 😞 Please help!
