Creating Drawings?

Hi,

I'm new to 3ds Max, and after creating a project (which is just one object), I realized that I will need to make drawings with dimensions from it. Is there any easy way to do this?

I also have Inventor installed on my computer at the moment, and could download other Autodesk products if necessary, as I am a student.

Thanks for your help!
Elizabeth

might be best to use inventor for most of the process (creation, dimensioning, manufacture, etc etc)... then export or bring in the 3D objects from inventor to max for rendering etc.

Yeah that's what I have done in the past, but I didn't realize that this project would need to be dimensioned. Just wondering if anyone had any tips for this situation.

I also think it would be fairly complicated to create in Inventor, which is why I initially made it in 3ds max.

The precision is just not there in Max...not what it is designed for.
Export it to Inventor and adjust and dimension away...sorry to say.

prob best to export and dimension elsewhere. SketchUp is a great EASY (and powerful) tool also.
