Bug with align tool?

When i try to align an object to another the source object always aligns to center, even if i choose minimum, maximum or pivot point. Tried it with the same file on 3dsmax 2011 and that worked just fine.

Anyone experiencing the same problem or am i doing something wrong here?

Kind regards

Works fine here - try it with a couple of objects in a clean scene as it may be something to do with the scene rather than Max2012.

I think I've got the same thing, but only relating to "grouped" sets of objects. Single objects align OK but a group doesn't (i.e. can't select a group and align the leftmost edge of the group to the leftmost edge of another, single object)(this applies to both 2D splines and 3D geometry)

Align works just fine with objects, this problems happends only with groups (impossible to correctly align a group).
that's reaaaaaaly boring.

Please do not link directly to individual files. What about Max Design users? 32 bit Max users?
