Backburner 2014 as service (Server Absent)

Hi all,

I can't run Backburner server as service inside my School Render farm.
That is my Net Structure and Workflow:

School Server.

* Win 2008 Server R2 with Backburner 2014
* Backburner Manager started, OK
* Backburner Monitor started, OK
* Firewall rule to accept conexions by the Backburner servers.

9 PC's with ACSU 2014.

* An special "render" Windows 7 User Account (Not system account) to manage service Logon.
* Backburner server manual start to create backburner.xml inside this account.
* Backburner Monitor accept the connection and show my Server Idle. OK.
* Manual close the server and go to services and CMD to register: serversvc -i
* Registration complete
* I Put my "render" special user account settings, in to Backburner 2014 services -- Properties -- Logon as...
* Restart the PC.
* My monitor shows my Server Absent, but the service is running and started in the configurated computer...

* All Win 7 Accounts are Windows Roaming accounts in to the Win 2008 server.

Any Solution?

You need to edit the Backburner.xml file located under your special user account.  C:/Users/*accountname*/AppData/Local/backburner.  When you ran the Server locally to "create" the XML, it created the XML file under the user account you were logged in as.

"

in a way forbidden by its access permissions"

This line leads me to believe there is a problem with the permissions of the account your are using to render. It may not have rights to access the folders it needs on the local machine.

Not sure because I don't use the service, but I guess you have to configure the service to run as the user of the machine so it have the same rights. By default, it may run as system account ?

Camedeck: The render slave servers have all Read/Write permisions to the Render forlders. The render user account does not a system account.

I try to change the render user account to another permission group in the server domain and try.

Nicolas: The account is Admin User account, and I configure the service to start with this user account. The Permission rights are ok to the folder.

I try another solution.

Now the service is started, backburner manager tell me "New client 192.168.1.22 added to client list" but in Backburner Monitor I can't see this render salve in the servers list... I put a Network rendering job in Queue "All servers" but the job not start.

Yes Nicolas, All user accounts (Admin or User) have the same mapped network drive letters to prevent maps/xref conflict.

Now I open a server client backburner render in a machine without service installed and Queue Monitor show me the server in all servers, but is "Absent"... This Machine user account is inside de domain, and I try with other machine logged as user out the domain and I can't see the server in Queue Monitor...

I can't understand...
